When I was younger, health was not taught to me as something that had multiple facets to it. It was about what kinds of foods you put into your body and how much you exercised after the fact. Which led to my whole emotional life being wrapped up in my success with my body. If my body couldn’t be what it was supposed to be, then I COULDN’T be who I needed to be on stage since all of that emotional and mental energy was tied up in how I was being viewed physically. Ultimately, it meant that if I didn’t look “perfect”, then I wasn’t worth being there anyways.
When I went into business for myself, I found a similar thing happened. I didn’t want to share pictures of me because they caught a double chin, or I couldn’t make videos because what if my hair was off and I didn’t notice it and omg my make up is all worn off and ugh unless I can make it PERFECT…. Why make it at all?? So I hid. And as a result, my business did not grow.

The truth of the matter is that I’ve worked with people of all weights and they all have one thing in common - they are unable to fully show up on their stage, in their job, in their relationships, or at an audition, because of how they feel in their body. And as a result, they get passed over. Passed over for jobs they are absolutely worthy of, for roles that they would frankly kick ass at, or they are not fully seen or remembered in their relationships (professional and otherwise) and thus are not referred out to others for things that are completely within their zone of genius.

- People who have a lifetime of seeing themselves negatively. If that’s you, you won't be comfortable on stage being seen positively by your audience

- Meditation that helps you to visualize what their ideal active lifestyle looks like, separate from what their body currently looks like. What is your ultimate goal for you for exercise?
- Boundaries - and putting yourself in the middle of your bullseye
- Learning to treat boredom, frustration and fatigue as resistance to change/self care/goals - all things that need to be looked at.
