Why would I need a Coach?
Let’s face it, there’s almost TOO MUCH diet and exercise information out there today, and you don’t have the time or the energy to slog through everything to find what’s perfect for you. I keep track of different types of healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle choices and work with you to sort out what nourishes YOUR health and wellness needs. Everyone has different physical and personal needs, so there is no “one-size-fits-all” diet or lifestyle. These changes are introduced in small steps over a period of time so you have the chance to work them into your daily routine. Additionally, I deeply believe that when we are trying to make these changes, we have to look beyond diet and exercise into other aspects of your life. Are you happy in your career and relationships? What is your spiritual life like? Are you doing something in life that you truly ENJOY?
Are you going to take away all the foods I like?
Not at all. My goal is to help you figure out what’s working and what’s not. Once we’ve done that, we slowly make changes over time that feel GREAT for you. I’m always a fan of adding good nutritious food and exercise IN, rather than taking everything you love OUT.
Will I have to go to the gym or do exercises I hate?
Again, not at ALL! I want to you LOVE living a healthy and active lifestyle - so that’s what we works towards. We will discuss different activities that you ALREADY love and make a plan for how to build on those, rather than forcing you into a gym you hate 4 times a week.
Will you put me on a specific diet and exercise plan?
No. I will help you figure out, over time, what your dietary needs are - but I have no interest on putting you on “a diet”. Research shows time and time again that diets don’t work so I don’t believe in them. (Plus, I can say from personal experience that they don’t work and just end up leaving you frustrated!)

Why do we look at other parts of my life? Don't I just need to know how much to eat and exercise?
Have you ever noticed that you’re getting up from your office desk at the same time every day, let’s say 3pm, to walk to the office kitchen and grab a cookie? Or maybe you have that one friend that you always promise you’ll be “good” with and so you go get a salad for lunch… followed by 3 glasses of wine and a piece of cheesecake each? OR you go take a spin class followed by a strength session after a 10 hour work day (with no lunch break) only to go home and eat all the food in your fridge?
These moments aren't about the food.
And they're not about the exercise.
They are about what's going on in your life at that moment. They are about how you are REACTING to those situation.
We work on other areas of your life so that you're setting yourself up for SUCCESS each and every day.
